Expert Pension Solutions (or EPS) provides actuarial valuations of pension rights for divorcing couples. EPS is owned and managed by a number of the actuaries who provided support to market-leading pensions on divorce company Bradshaw Dixon & Moore (or BDM) throughout its existence. The actuarial team therefore has a vast combined experience of helping clients through the process of arriving at a financial settlement in their divorce proceedings. The EPS service involves the provision of expert witness, Court-compliant, actuarial valuation reports on pension rights.
Our team of actuaries and medical assessors is supported administratively through our office in Littlehampton, West Sussex. EPS is headed up by our MD, Mr Philip Ingram, who has over 30 years of experience in the life and pensions sectors.
Meet the Team
Philip Ingram
Phil has over 30 years’ experience in UK and European life and pensions businesses, and has been a pension trustee for businesses including a Defined Benefit scheme. With a degree from Warwick University, he has been a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries for over 30 years. Phil has worked on pension valuations for divorce settlements for a number of years, including several with BDM.
Phil’s great passion is cycling. He takes every opportunity, when not helping out with the local Citizens Advice Bureau to get out on the road both in the UK and all over the world.
Richard Pinder
Richard has been a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries for over 15 years having graduated from Southampton University. He worked for two of the leading actuarial consultancies in the UK for several years before joining the pensions on divorce team at BDM. EPS now benefits from Richard’s vast experience of pensions valuations in divorce settlements.
Richard has had to put his hobbies to one side having recently become married and sailed around the Mediterranean on his honeymoon. Nevertheless, we’re sure he’ll be allowed a garden shed of his own at some point in the future to potter around in!
Philip Clark
Phil has over 30 years’ experience advising pension scheme trustees. With a degree from Nottingham University, he has been a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries since 2006. Phil worked in a consulting capacity for pension on divorce company BDM until its closure in 2018.
Music takes up a great deal of Phil’s spare time. He currently plays trombone with the Leeds Symphony Orchestra and has even had a spell with the world famous Black Dyke Band. When not blowing, he manages to find the time to play golf or turn a Christmas present on his lathe.
